Speech is made by Creativefuel Private Limited in Indore, India. If something is broken, or Speech typed something it should not have, we want to hear about it.

Reach a human

Email support@creativefuel.io. We aim to reply within two working days. Please include which app you were dictating into and roughly when it happened, because that is usually enough for us to find the request in our own logs.

Faster, and better for us: use Report a bug inside the app (Mac: the sidebar, or Control Option Command B from anywhere). It attaches the technical detail we would otherwise have to ask you for.

Common things

Nothing gets typed when I hold the key

Speech needs two macOS permissions, and it needs both: Microphone to hear you and Accessibility to place the text at your cursor. Check System Settings → Privacy & Security. If you granted them and it still does nothing, quit and reopen Speech once: macOS sometimes hands the permission to the app only on its next launch.

macOS says it cannot verify the app

Current builds are signed and notarized by Apple, so this should not happen. If you are running an older build, Control-click Speech in Applications and choose Open, then download the current version from the home page.

How do I install Speech on Windows?

Download the Windows .exe installer, open it, and sign in when Speech opens. Follow the microphone and typing checks in setup.

This installer is unsigned. Windows may show an unknown-publisher or security prompt, and some managed PCs may block it. If installation is blocked, contact support. To update a direct-download copy, use the latest installer from this page.

"Daily limit reached"

Every account has a daily ceiling on how much audio it can send, because transcription costs us real money per minute. It resets on a rolling 24-hour basis, so it clears itself. You can see how much of yours you have used on your account page. If you regularly dictate more than the limit allows, email us: raising it for one person is a two-minute change on our side and we would rather do that than have you fighting the product.

It typed something I did not say

Please report it. Speech is built on the rule that it never invents words, so this is a real defect and not a quirk to live with, and the bug report carries what we need to reproduce it.

I want my data deleted

See Delete your account. You can do it yourself from inside the app, and it is immediate and irreversible.
